Origin
Jason is the son of Hippolyta and Zeus, also the twin brother of Wonder Woman. When Hippolyta discovered she's pregnant she became weary of Hera's wrath. After giving birth she contacted Glaucus of the Argonauts to raise him.
Creation
Jason was created by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok in Justice League #50 during the Darkseid War story arc. However it wasn't until James Robinson started writing Wonder Woman in the Rebirth Era did Jason's origin be fully revealed.

Weather Manipulation: Drawing from Zeus' dominion of the sky, Jason had a special affinity with the element of air. Using this, he could sense the flow of the tide, cause powerful earthquakes or generate enough air pressure to create a tsunami or a storm. Jason was able to conjure bolts of lightning.

Divine Energy-Blasts: Jason can generate a powerful blast of energy capable of incapacitating Wonder Woman, or even immobilizing Darkseid.
Weapons:
Zeus' Armor: Zeus created a suit of armor to be used in the fight against the Dark Gods. Originally intended for Wonder Woman, Jason bonded with it first on a physical and spiritual level. The armor allowed Jason to harness the power of any member of the Greek pantheon, but only one at any given time.
Hippolyta's Spear: An unbreakable forged by Hephaestus.
