@the_batmobile: I'm curious as to what makes you think you get to dictate to others what is ethical. It's people like you that give vegans a bad name. If people choose to eat meat/animal byproducts that is their choice and their choice alone. You feeling the need to berate, demean, and belittle people who do not share your point of view shows a lack of redeeming qualities in your character.

And sorry to break it to you, but yes, humanity evolved the way they did due to the consumption of meat. The proteins, iron, and minerals in the flesh/blood allowed us to be what we are today. The fact you refuse to acknowledge that is laughable at best and pathetic at worst.

Well, if memory serves me correct ... it was Aphrodite (in the Golden Age) who made Diana come alive from the clay. Perez (post Crisis) attributed it to 5 Goddesses (Artemis, Athena, Aphrodite, Hestia, and Demeter) and 1 God (Hermes) who made her come alive. Hera wasn't a part of that.

I personally feel that it a mix of things. Movies are great and all but I really don't think they inspire people to go out and buy the comics. When I see movies based on books, I don't necessarily buy the book ... even if I liked the film. Due to the increase in the movies, perhaps it's a matter of "why bother to read the book, a movie will be along shortly".
Also a big thing is OVER SATURATION. Good example with the 5 Captain America minis. Really, do we need like 4 or 5 Avengers books? It gets to the point that it appears daunting to a casual buyer. They'd naturally assume all would be needed to understand the story even if it's not the case.
Events do it too. Every couple of moths there's a new huge event. It's tiring and frustrating. Enough is enough.

Only one I'll add to my pull list will be Hawk and Dove. Legion Lost, Legion of Super-Heroes, and Teen Titans I'll definitely do trades for.

Although I'm now curious as to what would have done more damage to the Wonder Woman name - not being picked up by TV or actually having this crap air. It's hard to tell.

I am definitely on board for a Aqua Family book. Some GREAT stories could be told there.
