Biography:
Hailing from universe CV-8994 (where the meta-human population is 1%) Nate Reid was an ordinary young man, until the fateful day where he saved a man from a collapsing building. While the stranger got out in time, the building came down on Nate. He barely survived, placed in critical condition. The following night, a mysterious figure injected him with radioactive spider blood while he slept. The following day, Nate was conscious and rapidly recovering from his fatal injuries, much to everyone's surprise and confusion.
This was only the beginning. Nate discovered that he had all the proportionate abilities of a spider. Enhanced reflexes, superhuman strength, the ability to stick to any surface and an incredible "danger-sense."
With these abilities, and a natural sense of justice and to do the right thing, Nate immediately decided to become a costumed crime fighter. Thus, Aranea was born.
