Mr. Macik is the father of
Teon who was the forth new mutant that Hope made contact with after M-Day. When Teon's powers activated, Mr. and
Mrs. Macik did not know what to do. Teon would eventually run away from his parents and Mr. and Mrs Macik had no idea where he went or would go. they knew nothing about what had happend to their son until the
X-Men contacted them to let them know he was with their team at the moment. The Macik's would file a lawsuit to get custody of their son again. During the trial both parents spoke of how much they loved and wanted their son back from the X-Men. It wasn't until Teon spoke at the trial himself that it was made clear that their son really was better off with the X-Men. Teon told them that he was no longer the son they once knew and that son was dead, but from him this new Teon was created, and that he was truely happy with his current life. He also said that he still loved them in a way. In the end the Macik's said goodbye to Teon and he went back to the X-Men.
