Overview
The CV Multiverse is a vastly unexplored collection of individual realities spread throughout an endless void of alternate universes. Each with their own diverse groups of superheroes, villains, mutants, politics and more. Some, mirroring other realities with ever so slight variations and replicated events, stories and people, but with possibly one or more alterations to the timeline making them unique to their own universe.
In amongst this congregation of alternate universes rests the CV22'. Like the CVU, Prime, and CVnU it is its own entity completely separated from events, timelines and characters who may have originated elsewhere. A proverbial clean slate. Meaning there are no character controlled Empires, occupations or territories. Not yet anyway. And like its namesake, CV22' will begin in the year 2022.
In this Universe, the World is aware, and seemingly comfortable with the existence of superhuman individuals. This includes, but is not limited to, aliens, mutants and others. However, unlike other Universes, the number of superhuman individuals in the CV22' are, and continue to be, a small controllable minority on the outskirts of societal norms. There can be exceptions depending on character backstories and origins. But for the most parts supers keep it lowkey and under the radar. Because unlike previous Universes, the NPC World militaries are dangerously formidable and highly capable of dealing with the small number of superhumans in their current state of obscurity.
Brief History
 Since the beginning, CV22 was destined to evolve along a different historical path than perhaps its predecessors had followed. Starting with the K-T extinction event. In the CV22' the global impact of the Chicxulub asteroid was slightly mitigated by the fact that some (yet unknown) anomaly caused its original trajectory to be deviated. Altering the point of impact and as a result, instead of 75% of all species on the planet becoming extinct, 75% of all life on the planet survived. For millions of years species who would have never come in contact with one another under normal conditions, were suddenly forced to compete for food, shelter and resources dramatically accelerating the ecological evolutions of predators, prey and pathogens. Early Neanderthals were birthed into a World of survival of the fittest. Forced to advance their tactics, mental aptitude and inherent instincts well beyond the more stagnated levels of their multiversal cousins. These early stages of forced advancement and adaptations are a primary reason why normal human heroes in the CV22' are more aligned with their comicbook counterparts. With elevated baseline levels that the Real World might consider to be near low level superhuman, yet here are simply human levels of physical fitness.  Homo-sapiens assimilation of Neanderthals took longer and required their own heightened state of evolution. Some scientists even speculate that there was a genetic revolution. A branching of the species. A new genetic mutation may have been introduced at this time, giving rise to a subset of the species, hosts of a very rare but special genetic abnormality. However other scientist refute this theory as they believe this genetic deviation did not occur until sometime after the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The butterfly effect of the K-T Extinction would carry on for millions of years adversely distorting a myriad of unseen changes that would take eons before their true impact would be felt. A prehistoric virus. Ancient, evil and in hibernation, relegated to the realms of myth and legend would go on to be accidentally unearthed in Italy near Rome sometime during WW2. As the Nazi's and Allies raced to unlock the secrets of a supplemental formula in hopes of creating the first perahuman soldiers in an effort to turn the tides of war. Instead the unwittingly freed a deadly pathogen that the Vatican had kept secretly guarded since the early 1800's. And while the incident forced the two ideologically opposed forces to band together against a far greater threat, once again driving the old evil far beyond thought and worries of the modern mind, the World had never the less been introduced to the supernatural. The unexplained. The undead. And the super-science that would go on to create a legion of super-soldiers. This, along with the unbelievable recovery of an alien body and craft in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, helped catapult the CV22's shared consciousness, aptitude, biological and mental progression far beyond the normal depths of the multiversal counterparts. With greater advancements in religion, medical science, technology, space-exploration, war, peace, capitalism and biological engineering. |
Character Rankings System (The CRS)
Along with the basic rules of the forum, and rpgs in general, the CV22' will be introducing a new ranking system for RP participation. This way users can avoid any confusion when launching an rpg intended for a specific power tier of characters. They'll be 6 classes in total. In the OP of either the OOC or RP thread itself, the creator(s) will have added one of these six rankings to their rp. In order to participate in certain rpgs a user will have to use a character with a correlating rank. Ranks are allowed to participate in rpgs ABOVE their rank, but not below (unless expressed otherwise by its creator).

Occupations &Empires
In the CV22' a user will need to win and occupy territories before they can then compete for an Empire. Territories must be held in relation to the area in which the Empire claim will take place. Empire Claims are now broken up into two categories (for the CV22'). Occupations and Empires.Users will need to invest substantial time and story in the form of Occupying territories, 4 in total, before attempting to merge them all into an Empire. A user must cash in their territories for an Empire within 2 months after having secured your 4th Occupied territory.
4 Occupied territories = 1 Empire Claim attempt, for a total of 5 rpgs
The initial process will consist of an OOC: thread announcing an upcoming Occupation rp event. This is where both the attackers, and defenders can sign up for participation. Sign ups will last 48hrs. As the Universe grows this time frame may change. But for now 2 days is plenty of time to decide if one wishes to participate. After 48hrs, the Occupation rp can be launched. (territories need to be in relative proximity to the area in which the Empire claim will be held)
User vs user territory rpgs will follow the same procedures with the exception of the ooc sign up time frame. When attacking a User controlled territory you must give the defending User and possible participants 1 week before launching the rp.
A User can NOT challenge another User's Empire in its entirety unless they themselves are in possession of their own Empire. Users will also be unable to challenge more than one Territory at a time.
In Addition, this Universe in an of itself a self-contained Rpg. Users are not required to participate or be governed by its rules, but all are welcome to join. Users can have characters in multiple universes, but no outside canon or continuity is allowed within the CV22'. Whats happens in the 22' stays in the 22'. Please and thank you.
