Running from a psychopath with a gun isn't being a pussy, it's being smart and actually valuing your own life.

Provide a massive risk or call 911. Your choice. Understandable if a family member is in the school and you wanna save them, but still taking a risk and probably making things even worse.

One can only hope we all have the necessary courage to act in defense of innocent lives should such an opportunity present itself.

I would call the police because I can't overpower him since he is 6'4" and has a gun. However, if I had a gun instead of a wooden baseball bat then I might shoot this man dead or severly injure him with bullets if I think the police are not coming quickly enough and if I think he is in the danger zone that he is about to kill the children and the teachers. I won tennis competitions in the past and I have a strong forearm that I can really damage someone with a tennis racket but I have never used a baseball bat before.

I had a dream one time where my school was attacked and I actually stopped running away and went back to stop the others from getting hurt. I don’t know how accurately that depicts reality but in the dream I did think the situation was real so it might indicate that I would stay back.

Big difference though is the attackers had melee weapons, not guns.

So I’ll probably just sprint away.

Edit: Everyone should keep in mind that what you’d do in theory is different than what you’d do under pressure.

Even if one of my familiy members is inside the school, risking its own life is not the way, imagine you want to save them but he shots you and your other family member down. I will immadietly call the police and hope for everyone to hide and survive it.

It’s noble to want to help in this situation but taking on an armed man with a baseball bat is more reckless than brave. Better to leave and call the cops if no one else has already done so.

Bait him to shoot his ammo, around corners, force them to come to you but make sure you're protected otherwise ie behind a wall, something bulletproof til he has to reload that's when you charge them. Or if I have a shield like say a school desk or something heavy that bullets aren't going through and a weapon like a knife it's possible bullrush him then once you get close slice his neck, go for the main arteries where they'll bleed out in 10 mins or less. The trick is to not get shot really, if you can get close to these pricks you can do damage since most of them never protect their neck. But in a case where I have no weapons the best option is to call the cops hope they do their job and come asap while trying to survive. If they're trying to get me then I will at least try to fight some how.
