Oldman
Nolan Trilogy vs Arkham series - Best Characters

Oldman is too good. Super underrated moment when he pulls his gun on Batman in TDK and yells desperately that he has to save Dent.

Nolan. Arkham got some nice moments in Knight but that’s not enough. Oldman had more depth.

Round 6: Ra's Al Ghul
Nolan trilogy Ra's. He has a greater role in the narrative, works better as a thematic foil to Bruce, is played by Liam Neeson, and has a climactic showdown/death befitting of his character. You see, in Nolan's trilogy, Ra's isn't just lazily killed off after revealing he was the main villain behind the whole plot, he actually has a proper conflict with Bruce before his eventual death.

Nolan stomps, CJ covered the best reasons. I’ll just add that his quotes about justice/will power etc are truly powerful lines.
Additionally, the moment in City where Ra’s impales himself and Batman avoids the blade during the free-fall is forever cemented in my mind as one of the biggest bozo moments I’ve ever witnessed. It’s just embarrassing, how you gonna go out like that.

Round 7: Talia Al Ghul
Probably Nolan trilogy. I don't really like either of the two, but Nolan trilogy Talia had more effort put into developing her into a 3-dimensional character that had relevance to the themes of the story. Arkham Talia isn't so much a character as a plot device and source of temptation for Bruce at various points in the story (when he initially visits Ra's to collect his blood, and when he has to choose between stopping Arkham City from being bombed by Hugo Strange and chasing after Joker).

Are you a fan of any version of Talia? Thanks!

Not particularly. I don't really think any writer (that I've seen) has taken enough care to make her a properly realised character in her own right. And, as a love interest for Bruce, she's - in my opinion - vastly inferior to Catwoman.
Nolan Talia was dimeless and basically was thrown in as a goofy heel turn at the very last second with no development
I'm not gonna act like Arkham version was a masterpiece or anything but she held much more value as a character and her presence kept ongoing post-City

Thanks. I think Chuck Dixon might have been an exception to make Talia interesting, but, in general, she might be more of a pretty face. I also think she is inferior to Catwoman as a love interest.

What do you guys think of her DCAU incarnation?
Not really a fan of either of the two but if I had to forcefully choose, then Arkham Talia.
@modernww2fare: I remember liking Talia in the DCAU, and enjoyed when she was in the Batman Adventure Comics based off of Batman TAS.

Round 8: Two-Face
Nolan stomps, real sad that Arkham version got really nothing bar Knight providing him with a nice bit of dialogue if you caught him post-identity reveal
Nolan by a longshot. He was a central character with a great performance by Aaron Eckhart, and a great portrayal of his fall from grace.
Nolan trilogy Two-Face - for obvious reasons. He was just far more well developed and much better integrated into the plot in Nolan's films.

Round 9: Joker
Nolan, down to personal preference really. Both are great.
Arkham Joker is more evil though, by far. Probably the most evil incarnation.
I was waiting for this one.
As much as I love Arkhamverse and Hamill, I gotta go with Nolan. What Ledger did with that performance was just simply something else. His Joker has made such a huge impact on pop culture. His influence can be seen in several Batman related media since then, from comics to shows to movies. Hell even Arkhamverse Joker likely wouldn't have been as dark as he was had it not been for Nolan.
