Nice!
Dune: Part Two ends theatrical run at over $700M in box office revenue.
@lilacplasmabeam: @supreme101: Yeah, hopefully it'll end at a trilogy.
Deserved a lot more. What a masterpiece of a film. Still blows my mind how good it was considering how dull the first movie was. I can't remember the last time a sequel was leagues better than its predecessor.
Well deserved. Can't wait for the next film
@ghostodoofus2: You don’t think the rest of the books will be adapted? With the third movie, it’s already moving outside of the plot of the first book, so I don’t think it would need to stop at a trilogy, which might seem unfinished. I think if the series stopped now, it would be wrapped up nice, but it would be hard to wrap up if they make a third movie that expands the story by a massive amount, without making several more movies.
@tparks: Denis has no interest in adapting past Dune Messiah which pretty much concludes Paul's story, though he could adapt a scene from Children of Dune and make it an epilogue.
@ghostodoofus2: That makes sense. It's been so long since I've read those books.
Although I think Children of Dune could make for a really trippy series.

I'd prefer a tv show tbh.
@pedrolopesmateus: Makes sense, I also often prefer good shows because we get to see more content( another reason I can't wait for Andor season 2 which Tony Gilroy called his best work so far) but even as movies they are doing quite well so far.
@eredin12: they are great. It's just that it seems like they are cutting a lot of the worldbuilding from the books. If it was a show they would have more time.

maybe a show might come out after the movie trilogy warps?
no way they letting the IP of dune go to waste since it's such a money cow for them now

It deserves a lot more. But let's be honest Dune doesn't have a "popular" novelty compared to other big guns. A rather off topic i did like to mention is that Villeneuve once said that Paul in Dune is like Michael Corleone from Godfather 2 which is an interesting analogy.
@saiyan_ross: Adding to that, I saw Beast Rabban as both Sonny (bad temper) and Fredo (stupidity). I saw Feyd as a psychotic Michael.
