The Freaky Doktor Zee debuted in Doctor Strange (2023) #1 by Jed MacKay, Andy MacDonald, and Ian Herring.

Major Story Arcs

Agent of W.A.N.D.

Doktor Zee was flying his Psycho-Zeppelin in the skies above Birmingham, United Kingdom. He was armed with hallucinogenerators, machines primed to charge the rainfall with psychoalchemicals, which were protected by his army of robot nurses, The Autonurses. He was determined to spread peace and empathy by forcefully expanding everyone's mind. Because he was using alchemy, he was targeted by agents of W.A.N.D., which at this point was only Pandora Peters and Wong. Wong, who had no intention of being just another cop, decided to go over Pandora's head and offer Doktor Zee a job and the chance to open the third eye of willing participants, which he ultimately accepted.

After investigating the assassination of Aggamon, they find out that many dark magicians and magical monsters have been taken out by a mysterious foe. Pandora already has a suspect in mind: Clea, but the real killer revealed themselves at the wedding of Tiboro and Umar. It was General Strange, the personification of Doctor Strange's trauma endured during the five thousand year long War of the Seven Spheres. The Vishanti had previously removed and imprisoned this trauma, but he had escaped during Strange's death. WAND was on stand by while Strange tries to negotiate with The Vishanti and their rivals, the Trinity of Ashes.

After Strange tracks the General to their childhood home in Nebraska, Strange asks WAND to fly in with Zee's Psycho-Zeppelin. They drop Doktor Zee's psychedelics expanding General's mind and returning his empathy and compassion. Strange used this opprotunity to surgically graft a piece of his soul to the General, and then WAND helped bring him back to the Sanctum, determined to help him medically with his PTSD.
