    Origin

    Brownbeard was the captain of the Brownbeard Pirates that was created in the New World, the second half of the Grand Line.

    Creation

    Brownbeard (茶ひげ, Chahige) is an antagonist from the One Piece series that was created by Eiichiro Oda. The series first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump on August 4, 1997. His first appearance was in the later Marineford Arc that began in Volume 57.

    He first appeared in One Piece Volume 59, CH. 581 "Creeping Future".
