    Mayerik continued to draw for comics through the 1980s and early 1990s, working on series for Eclipse Comics, First Comics, Now Comics, Pacific Comics and and Harvey Pekar's self-published American Splendor.

    He has not worked in the comics field for some time and is now a commercial artist in advertising and the games industry working for such companies as TSR, Inc and Wizards of the Coast. In connect with this he worked on the Armada series Magic: the Gathering - The Shadow Mage in 1995.
