Meanwhile, Swamp Thing falls off a vegetable truck near the selfsame town and is taken there by an exact double of his wife and his own former self.

    The early issues of Swamp Thing are quite the rollercoaster of ups and downs. This issue is definitely a down. Swamp Thing falls off a truck and is found by a robotic duplicate of his wife. Together with a robotic duplicate of his former self, the two take Swamp Thing to meet the mayor of their town, a clockmaker who built the entire town and all the robot people in it.   Meanwhile, Matt Cable is sent by the government to investigate this town full of mysterious people, and the Conclave finally ...
