Terrorism is the act of causing violence to scare a populace. A real world example would be what happened to the United States on September 11, 2001. It is also a topic constantly covered in comics with several Mutant groups that use terrorism as a way of acting against a Government that doesn't wish to make them equals.
Time travel in comics involves jumping or returning in time to change an event and therefore, altering history (alternately sometimes time travel is used simply as a means of exploration). Heroes generally protect the time stream, villains seek to profit from its manipulation.
