Sonja Bittner

Sonja is a Lazarus, A Lazarus is a physically modified human who has been raised since birth to serve under a major family, following any order given by the head of the family without any remorse even to the extent of executing people they know are innocent.

Sonja is the Lazarus of the Bittner family, and its youngest daughter. Despite being the Lazarus, Sonja has a positive relationship with her mother, though she has no idea who her father is and her siblings are implied through dialogue to treat her like a typical Lazarus.

Sonja is a close friend of Forever Carlyle.

Powers and Abilities

Sonja has been genetically and chemically enhanced , First through pharmaceutical and minor genetic tampering by Jacob Hock, and further genetic enhancement by the Carlyle family once Bittner changed alliances and Hock treatments were no longer viable. Sonja has displayed thus far:

Healing factor: Sonja possesses a minor healing factor early in the series, allowing her to survive being stabbed through the abdomen during a duel with Forever. The tie-in Sourcebook reveals that after Bittner took the side of Carlyle during the war, Sonja’s healing has increased, though to an unknown degree.

Unarmed and armed Combat: Sonja is a very gifted combatant ranging from unarmed, melee and gun combat. Her weapon is her personalized european broadsword. Sonja has proven her combat skills by dueling Forever Carlyle and was evenly matched until Forever’s victory, bested Christoph Muller who matched her in strength, but Sonja has superior technique , and is one of only two individuals to face the Zmey and survive, a sizable accomplishment despite her defeat.

Stealth: Sonja is a capable stealth operative, leading a covert task force during a raid, displaying her training sneak into enemy compounds unnoticed.

Super Strength: Sonja has a degree of enhanced strength, She has repeatedly bested grown men in combat with no issue, has delivered punches with enough force to crack stone, and was the physically stronger in her duel with Forever Carlyle, who is noted to be able to kill 6 men with her bare hands with no effort. Sonja’s strength allowed her to survive against the Zmey and was comparable to Christoph Muller.
