Seraph, head of Seraph investigations--a group comprised of Wolverines ex-girlfriends--was hired by the Japanese government to insure Mr Takenaka made it home safe from his meeting with Kingpin to prevent a war between the Hand and the Yakuza. Although she was successful of seeing him off on his plane back to Japan, he died when Sabretooth, who was previously thought to be dead, pulled him through the plane window to fall to his death mid-flight.
