Gotta say, reading a poorly written comic with great art is much easier than reading a well-written comic with crap art.

Truth be told - he's right. There should be a place for any type of comic book.

Oh, that was brutal. Best thing about the final Miracleman book. I wish that Kid Miracleman had more appearances and a bigger role. What I didn't like was all those gods, convoluted dialogue and iffy lettering. I appreciated the concept and the story Moore wanted to tell, but it felt like he went off the rails a bit too much at the end.

Ah, yeah, if it's something like that I might not really like it. While I don't mind writers really doing the projects they want, telling us their stories the way they wanted to, sometimes it feels like comic books are not the right format for works of that sort. I might give it a try, but we will see.

Hahah, true. He's probably the most critically acclaimed comic book writer as well as the most beloved it by readers.

Once I check them out I will share my opinion. Miracleman was good up until Gargunza died and basically the final act - Olympus started. Afterwards, the stories and the premise became a tad dull and they were enjoyable but not as the first two books of the series.

I've heard plenty of great stuff about Tom Strong, so it's a must read as well along with Promethea. I always forget about his Captain Britain run though.

Yeah, I compiled a list of the most essential works of Alan Moore and I wanted to start with them. Swamp Thing was supposed to be the first one I read, but due to its length I pushed it back lol.

I've heard the most positives about Swamp Thing and Watchmen.

What's your favorite work of his? What else would you recommend that I read from Alan Moore or it can be any other writer, but just something that is worth reading?
