Ig'nea

Origin

Ig'nea G'odd is the daughter of Maximilian G'odd and a native of the planet Esprito. Her father sent her on a mission to infiltrate the ranks of L.E.G.I.O.N. with the intent of causing dissension within the ranks as a prelude for the demise of L.E.G.I.O.N.

Creation

Ig'nea G'odd is the creation of Alan Grant and Barry Kitson.

Major Story Arcs

New Recruit

Ig'nea makes her first appearance alongside a group of other new recruits who are going through orientation and evaluation together. She manages to pass the evaluation and subsequent telepathic screening and becomes a full fledged junior member of L.E.G.I.O.N.. Everything is going according to the plan laid out by her criminal father, Maximilian G'odd. Ig'nea uses her powers of manipulation to cause dissent throughout L.E.G.I.O.N. and she also sabotages the computer systems. Everyone knew that an enemy walks among them but no one suspected Ig'nea until it was too late.

Ig'nea and Dox

Ig'nea manages to seduce Vril Dox II using her manipulative powers convinces him to leave Cairn. Ig'nea, Dox, and several other L.E.G.I.O.N. officers travel to Opatoshu-Alpha for an awards ceremony. At this ceremony, Vril Dox II, much to the surprise and amazement of everyone, disbands L.E.G.I.O.N. and leaves with Ig'nea to meet her father.

While relaxing in the confines of her father's estate, Ig'nea angrily uses her powers to cause a clumsy gardener to kill himself. Unbeknownst to her, Vril Dox II witnesses the ordeal and realizes that he too is under the manipulative spell of Ig'nea. Not long after Dox figures things out, L.E.G.I.O.N. arrives at the estate of Maximilian G'odd and begins an assault. Maximilian orders his daughter to seek out Vril Dox II and kill him. Dox actually finds Maximilian and unwittingly leaves him for death at the fangs of his once loyal pet, Rebel.

Ig'nea meets up with Dox and tries to manipulate him once more but it has no effect on him now that he is aware of her power. She does, however, manage to escape the clutches of an angry Vril Dox II.

Revenge Plot

Ig'nea would live on to harass L.E.G.I.O.N. another day. She manages to capture Stealth and trick her into revealing the location of her and Dox's baby. Ig'nea hopes to avenge the death of her father by trading the baby for Dox himself. L.E.G.I.O.N. responds by assaulting Ig'nea's location. Vril Dox II manages to free Stealth but Ig'nea escapes once again.
