After a bizarre encounter with a blonde girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to her, Simone sports her own platinum wig and concocts an escape route out of her home town, following the mysterious Polly--who isn't all she's cracked up to be. But Simone finds that life as a blond has its drawbacks. Among them, a run-in with the police, and trouble with boys and an ancient burial gone awry. Kicking and screaming, Simone's finally forced to return to the abysmal confines of her dysfunctional family--where death, decay and disaster await her.
