"Is this look taken?" Thread

Damian Wayne is used by my character @damian_knight and the Red Robin look is taken by @red_jay. Other than that I think those are the only ones in use right now.

Thanks! I may end up using one for awhile. Superior Octopus may end up being my go to look once he actually gets the resources. But I need an unmasked, or less masked look and stuff.

@the_crown: when in doubt try video game or anime or novel (Eragon/Percy/Harry Potter) character looks

Like they're almost never taken.

Ah, thanks. I know Anime tends to have a lot of looks. Though this character has a much more comic feel. Novels don't tend to have as many looks as I like. Might be able to find something in a video game though, just not sure. Character is around 16 (and male), so, iffy.

If I may offer a few suggestions

• Tim Drakes Robin from the YJ series isn't used and it's actually pretty good. And I'd be willing to give you some scans.
• Beast Boy is a look that's like never used. Also some cool art.
• Cyborg is such an underused look
• and a lot others

Lots of other looks other than the generic go-to looks

@contingency: Ah...but uh...he's got a sword. And my character is kind of based off sciency stuff. Does seem to be a lot of art for that though, so it may be good in the future.

Actually Time Drake might work out pretty well. He's got around the right age and would fit with the "High intellect" street level styled character with a technology interest. I think this might be a really good one to go for.

I admit, I've often thought of using beast boy. I just never have the right reason to use him. He's a great look but hard for me to manage. I may end up using him at some point, but not as perfect for this character.

Cyborg is also pretty dang awesome and fits the tech. But he looks a bit too high level for what I'm going for at the moment.

@the_crown: What about Generator Rex?

I am perhaps the biggest Percy Jackson fan that's ever existed. And I would have used him as a look but due to the lack of gifs I was like...nah.

@contingency: Hm...it's an interesting look actually and fits the idea of the character. But I'm thinking I might stick with Tim Drake now that I've looked them both up. More to draw from and I just like the art style a bit more (that, and I've seen some of Young Justice. So I'm admittedly biased lol.) Thanks very much though!

@connor_jackson: Oh yes, I definitely will. I just hope that comicvine fixes whatever problem is with my account. Right now can't post with it. May end up having to ask with this account, we'll see.

Didnt Trinity say something about many Psylocke pics?

@nico_daemon: She did, but she doesn't have a character using that look. She's just collected a lot of pics because she might use the look later.
