Apparently, Fire is so desperate for recognition that she'll basically lure villains to Smallville to beat them. King Shark ends up marching into town to fight her because of it. She even calls up Ambush Bug at the end of the issue to set up a fake fight. It's kinda sad.

Forgivable because it's Vulcan, a Gary Stu who only deserves the lowest caliber of writing possible.

I'm slowly realizing that the best way to do even moderately complicated formatting on this site is: don't.

You also can't forget this little gem for somehow both perfectly encapsulating the character and being completely out-of-character. So much so, that it inspires parodies of the character for decades to the point where it becomes a dead horse of a gag.

I wonder if you get as indignant over the "I'm Batman" gag. Then again, Dickheads seem just as defensive as Retodds when it comes to their sterling boy; why are little Batman Jr. fanboys even more defensive than regular Batman fanboys?

The Women of Marvel show their moral superiority by saying "No, we love men".

For those who don't know this is Gail Simone Talking through these characters. She has spent 25 years fighting mostly with men, occasionally with women who challenged her in any way, hurting careers, hurting companies and now she has the murderer of Tony Stark Saying "You know who is surprisingly great? Ironman"
