This thread will announce any temporary banned characters or verses, any recent unbanned examples of the same, or any other temporary rules within the Battle Forums.
Check back whenever you see the "as of" date change above. It is your responsibility to be aware of whatever topics are banned.
HOW THIS WORKS
The Battle Mods will review this thread every few months to see if the currently-banned topics should continue to be banned, or if their bans should be lifted. This regular review should keep bans fairly temporary and avoid making them too "sacred." On the other hand a regular review of possible bans will make Modding more agile and able to adapt to problematic areas by adopting short-term bans.
New topics will be temporarily banned as needed, depending on the dynamics of the forum.
Bans on topics, and their removal, will only be passed by a consensus of the Battle Mods, usually after consultation with other associated Mods.
We want to avoid a million individual pinned threads, so all topical bans/unbans will be posted here and only here.
Other more general banned concepts within battles, like the bans on universe vs universe, fake characters, religious figures, omnipotent characters, and excessive numbers, remain in the Permanent version of the Battle Forums rules. This thread is for specific topics, not general concepts.
Users, please do not request bans or unbans.
CURRENT BANNED TOPICS
GOW
• Battles involving God of War (GOW) characters are restricted to their own verse only. GOW characters may be used in CaVs and Tourneys against other characters, however.
RECENTLY UNBANNED TOPICS
Dragonball
• Dragonball is unbanned.
Yhwach and Kaguya
• Yhwach (Bleach) and Kaguya (Naruto) are unbanned.
