    Eye Guy was originally created for the Japanese show Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger appearing in episode 12 of the series as a monster of the week villain called Dora Argus. When Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger was adapted into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season one, Dora Argus was renamed Eye Guy for a western audience.

    In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Eye Guy is voiced by Richard Cansino, while the Japanese voice actor and suit actor is unknown.

    Eye Guy has made multiple appearances throughout the early season of Power Rangers, the most notable being Mighty Morphin Power Rangers where he made his debut as a minor antagonist against the Power Rangers. While being destroyed multiple times, he has found a way to return to life and aid in the destruction of Angel Grove.

    After being destroyed by the Z-Wave that was unleashed across the universe when Zordon died, Eye Guy made one final appearance in the finale episode of Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue as one of the deceased monsters that attacked Queen Bansheera in the Shadow World.

    Comics

    Eye Guy made his first appearance in Godzilla vs. the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #2 as one of the giant monsters created by Finster and Rita Repulsa to fight against Godzilla and the Power Rangers.
