    The monster in this film is depicted more intelligent, eloquent but desperately lonely. The Bride is played by Elsa Lanchester. Henry is joined by a sinister mentor, Dr. Septimus Pretorius. The film is considered a classic tragedy and has been both a financial and critical hit.
