Voght, a former nurse and partner to Charles Xavier. She left Xavier after he began forming the X-Men and later joined Magneto's Acolytes. She can turn any matter, including herself into a mist. This is useful during battle, as anyone attacking her will cut straight through without any damage to her. This is also useful for travelling through vents or tight spaces. She can also grab someone, turn them into mist while holding on them and then reform. With this, she can vapourise weapons, bring them to her and reform them in her hands. Her mist form can also travel through astral planes, allowing her to teleport anywhere she wishes. She can also teleport a person to herself as long as she can visualise it.
The Acolytes are a group of mutants that followed Magneto's ideals and believed in a society where humans are dominated by mutants. Magneto is one of the most infamous and powerful Marvel villains, bent on affirming homo superior's birthright as homo sapien's successors. He has a long and sordid past with Charles Xavier.

Polaris possesses the ability to manipulate magnetism. Although she has the potential to exercise all of the powers that Magento has, as yet she has only used powers involving the manipulation of magnetic, electrical, and gravitic fields. Moreover, she cannot summon as great an amount of energy as Magneto can. The exact limits on the amount weight that she can magnetically lift at present have not been measured, but they are considerably below those of Magneto. Since she has preferred not to use her powers in combat situations, she has not worked nearly as hard to develop them as Magneto has. As with Magneto, it is unknown whether Polaris's powers are purely psionic or whether they derive from her physically.
