    Origin

    No Caption Provided

Aaron Fischer was a young gay teen from an abusive household. His father beat him for his sexual identity prompting him to run away from home with his boyfriend, Jeremy. His boyfriend didn't stick around, but Aaron continued to ride the rails, making friends with other unhoused individuals. Inspired by the multiple Captain Americas over his lifetime, Aaron looked into a streak of missing unhoused, when he ended up captured like the rest of them. Roxxon had thrown them all in a work camp. Aaron fashioned himself a makeshift shield and fought to free the whole camp. Once accomplished, he continued to ride the rails helping anyone he could.

    Creation

Aaron debuted in The United States of Captain America #1 by writer Christopher Cantwell and artist Dale Eaglesmith. It also featured a back up story from Aaron's point of view from writer Josh Trujillo and artist Jan Bazalda.

    Notes from Captain America

    Sam Wilson

This kid's hard to track down - he stays on the movie, going wherever he's needed most, and doesn't leave much of a trail. Hopefully that'll keep him safe from whoever's looking for him.

    Steve Rogers

He looks like he'd blow away in a strong breeze, but he's a scrapper. Took that gunshot like a champ. Just hope he's not in over his head

    Major Story Arc

The United States of Captain America

    Meeting Cap and Falcon
    Meeting Cap and Falcon

After Captain America (Rogers) had his shield stolen by a stranger in a Captain America costume with super speed, Cap and Falcon tracked him to a train track bridge. The imposter Cap used Cap's shield to derail the train. While Cap was helping people escape the wreck, he saw Aaron and mistook him for the stranger. Aaron was just trying to help and let Cap know about the Network of Captain Americas, do-gooders from across the country inspired by Cap.

A second female stranger tried to kill Aaron, but Cap was able to tackle him out of the way of her sniper rifle. He got hit in the arm, but after he was patched up, he disappeared before the authorities could ask him anything.

However, he would remain in contact with Cap and his friends through the network. When their investigation led them to NORAD facility where the Hate-Monger was kept, Aaron was more than willing to show up to help. In fact, he was one of the few network members to answer the first distress call. It was a trap, unfortunately, with the Commander Krieger attempting to mesmerize Cap and the others. Thankfully, the rest of the network showed up just in time to save them.

    The Invader

When Captain America found himself lost in the middle of America with no memories of how he got there, he reached out to Aaron to help him and the friends he was working with reunite using the railways off the grid. Once together, Aaron watched as Cap called in a favor from Emma Frost, who revealed they were all kidnapped and had their minds wiped by MODOC, a person of interest related to Cap's investigation into the Outer Circle.

    Going Home

    New Powers
    New Powers

At the opening of a LGBTQ+ friendly homeless shelter in memory of Roger Aubrey, Aaron received a text message from his ex-boyfriend. Glen, a surrogate father of Aaron, had been found dead, presumably murdered. He returned to his hometown to avenger Glen, but he his hometown was not the hateful and homophobic place that he had left. Jeremy had pushed to make it a more accepting place, and Roxxon's new processing plant has revitalized the town economically. Aaron remained suspicious of the changes.

Aaron investigates those still struggling in the new idyllic town. He finds out that there are regular tornado warnings for tornadoes that never occur. Roxxon seems to be using it as a way to corral members of the community, some of whom are getting sick and some of whom are going missing. This all lines up with an announcement of a new Roxxon development: a super solider serum costing a billion dollars a dose. To get his hands on the information, Aaron breaks into the plant with a stolen key card so he can download the data to a thumb drive.

Unfortunately, he was caught by one of the few successful super soldier subjects. He overwhelmed Aaron and threw him into an experiment, believing Aaron wasn't strong enough to survive. Instead, Aaron gained new abilities that allowed him to escape. He brought the data drive back to Cap and Sam at the Roger Aubrey Center, where he also decided to volunteer to mentor homeless queer youth after seeing the good Jeremy was doing back in Hastings.

    Avengers Academy

Aaron was busted by Agent Gao when she was raiding a homeless encampment for sheltering on Hexus property. In case anyone had superpowers, she brought along Taskmaster of her Cape-Killers, who Aaron wasn't strong enough to take. Carol Danvers came to visit him in prison with a recruitment offer for the revitalized Avengers Academy, but he did not take it too seriously.
