Origin

Bruce Banner began irradiating various animals in an attempt to duplicate the accident that created the Hulk. His 26th experiment was performed on a boar, who was granted limited intelligence and enhanced strength by the experiment. 26 and his brother, the 27th experiment, became devoted to serving and protecting Banner. 

Creation

26 was created by Jason Aaron and Marc Silvestri. 

Major Story Arcs

Hulk Asunder 

26 and his brother are sent out to hunt down further subjects for Banner's experiments, and when they fail to uncover any new specimens they are sent to retrieve the Hulk from where he has retreated to the Moloid caves. They attack the Moloid tribe, kidnapping the children and drawing the Hulk's wrath down upon themselves. Hulk engages the pair in a fight which literally shakes the Earth. Their fight is brought to an abrupt halt when 26 plunges through a hole in the Earth's crust that the Hulk had created. He is severely wounded by both the fight and the fall. His fate is unknown, but he is presumed dead. 

Powers and Abilities

Due to his exposure to gamma radiation, 26 is larger than an average boar, bipedal, and capable of speaking and understanding English. He also has enhanced strength and durability, and intelligence above that of an average boar, though it appears to be enhanced only by boar standards, rather than by human standards.
