Islands in the Stream
This issue opens up with a battle as Diana is fighting a killer robot in Metropolis. She has been looking for Superman and she found him, although at this point beneath a pile of rubble. She wants him to monitor her in case she gets out of control and potentially even stop her. I am never a big fan of Superman and Wonder Woman together, and although it doesn't happen in this issue, the cover looks almost creepy. Finally Diana is drawn away by Dr. Fate to once again search for her mother and the Amazons. This doesn't turn out exactly as planned as an old villain resurfaces. I felt that this issue lacked direction, with a plot that could have been tighter. The part with Superman was also mostly unnecessary.
