I have sort of mixed feelings about Robbie Baldwin, AKA Penance. I wasn't a huge Speedball fan or anything. I liked how they hinted that he had the potential to be soooo powerful. Guess that's what we're seeing now. What I don't like is how they've (the Marvel Universe and the writers) have pooped all over him and the New Warriors. But we know it's really all Tony Stark's fault. I'm not sure if I really like the Penance persona. The whole, "Hurt me baby, make me feel pain" thing is just boring. And now he has all these piercings? I don't even want to know if he has them anyplace besides his face.
So here we're going to get a mini-series on him and all his quircks. There better be some major action if he does go toe-to-toe with Norman Osborn.
