artjoker's X-Men: Legacy #231 - Earth Give Up Your Dead, Part 1 review

I liked it better when there were less mutants...

To be frank my attention and acceptance for the resurrection of dead characters in both Marvel and DC has been wearing thin. Yes Zombies are cool, super powered zombies are even better, but when it seems that Marvel and DC are taking us back to where we were in comics 10 or 20 years ago i have a problem with that. And No Wolverine does not appear in this book, despite him being on the cover. The X men and Inhabitants of Utopia are still fending off the attack of Selene's zombie cyborg mutants, Cyclops makes the decision to send out a scouting party to explore one of two spikes on cerebra, one being Nechrosha, and the other being Muir Island. It is also one heavy scouting party to, consisting of Psylocke, Colossus, Magneto, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Husk, Trance, and Blindfold. you would think Scott would save some of the heavy hitters to defend home...but whatever. Anyhow there seems to be nothing on Muir Island, until Blindfold starts acting strangely...and a fan favorite character makes their return, whether this is good or bad for the X men still remains to be seen.

Why are we here again? Should we be here? 0

We enter the issue with Utopia under attack from an army of reanimated mutants and Blindfold with a message to deliver to Cyclops. Before I go any further I have to say I’m in love with the cover by Adi Granov. He has shown the power and grace of the X-team in action. With the chaos of the moment, the team looks like a moment of calculated force. I’ve been reading the Necrosha storyline and I’m really enjoying it. This is the first issue that hasn’t come from the New Mutants or X-Force titles ...
