A Return to Horror in Swamp Thing Year 2 0
Again we have swamp thing entering an isolated village with no ties to the outside world. Again we have the usual shovel-wielding mob - a situation even Swamp Thing himself admits to getting tired of. But, cliché though it may be, it's far better than seeing Swamp Thing dressed in a trenchcoat and engaging in standard superheroics like the last couple issues. An authentically creepy story 0
One of the best Swamp Thing stories. One of the few that scared me as a little kid when I read it for the first time in elementary school. Mnagalah is one of the scarier foes. Although a terrific story, I think this issue has some of Wrightson's best artwork, which magnifies the effect of the story many times....
