Comic is Batman/Superman: World's Finest #24.

It made me so happy how Darkseid was portrayed here. Not a jobbing punching bag for Superman, actually a team buster.

No

But it don’t matter since Mark Waid said it was explained to him that Darkseid and all the other Darkseids are the same being, only one Darkseid in the multiverse

Are they really doing the "only one version" retcon for Seid like they did for Mxy? Lol that's memes

Not exactly. It's canon to Infinite Frontier, the current canon timeline. Although Infinite Frontier is all about "merging" all the previous canon timelines since pre-crisis all throughout Rebirth together. So who knows?

Also it is to be noted that this was the Kingdom Come Justice League + canon Superman here that DS beat. And they were all already very worn out and injured from defeating Old God Gog.

Haven't they already been trying to do it for a long time with the "boomtube shrinks and nerfs true form of Gods everytime they enter the DC universe" thing?

That stuff's always been inconsistent, some writers like Morrison tried following it while others would just completely ignore the concept

New Gods were always established to be beyond certain cosmological events (weren't effected by Anti-Monitor's meddling) but the idea of a singular version of each existing everywhere is a step beyond that
